If the new Renault Master looks familiar that's because the French van formed the base for the also new Opel / Vauxhall Movano that was also unveiled today. In fact, the only differences between the two models are limited to the front grille and badges inside and out. Other than that, the Master and the Movano are one and the same.
The Master will hit European markets in April where it will be available from 2.8t to 4.5t GVW in panel van, chassis cab, chassis double cab, chassis cowl, platform cab, platform cowl versions, with front or rear-wheel drive according to the version, and with single or twin wheels, up to 17m3 of loading capacity and 2,254kg payload in the panel van version and 2,495kg in the chassis cab version.Like the Movano, the French van is powered by a 2.3-liter diesel engine that's offered in 100HP, 125HP and 150HP variants and can be combined with either manual or automated gearboxes.
