A newly launched Audi micro-site called "Electricity Untamed" that features a countdown clock ticking off the seconds until September 15, as well as numerous facts and figures on electricity plus four viral videos, strongly hints that the German automaker is readying an "electric" surprise for us at the Frankfurt Motor Show that opens its doors to the members of the press on -you guessed it- September 15.

There's no indication on what the "electric" surprise may be, but previous reports from the German press stated that Audi will use the Frankfurt gathering to take the covers off an electric-powered concept variant of the R8 coupe dubbed 'e-Version'.
